With less than a week until the 2016 NBA Draft, hopeful prospects are getting ready for one of the greatest days of their lives. Sixty talented young men will be chosen to play the game they love in front of millions of adoring fans, while getting paid more than they’ve ever imagined. For months there has been much speculation about which player will be selected as the first round pick and which team they’ll go to.

Out of the many players that attain the skill to be in the league, what makes these guys so great? Could it be the prestige schools they come from, or the countless hours invested in their craft? Or is it simply because they’re that damn good? It occurred to me that the one and only way they are in the a position to become an elite player of the NBA is because they had a dream. Despite the many obstacles faced while pursuing this dream, they did not budge. Congratulations, it was worth it. The 2016 NBA Draft is June 23rd.
